An INtroduction

Welcome friends! It appears you’ve stumbled upon my internet habitation, an online dwelling I created only moments ago! If you are a photographer then perhaps this blog will be particularly handy to you, reason being that I am a loud young man. I tend to say what I think, and I think a lot! Everyday I work to make my photography business better and I can bring you along for the ride. If you are a client, this blog may be an excellent way to see the fellow you may be working with. Whether it’s a headshot session or a destination wedding, there is always plenty to share with all that may be interested in listening.

Now enough about all that, let me tell you about ME…

I am an extremely young and extremely nimble young man. One that jumps up onto mildly tall things during photoshoots to subtly display my ability to do so. No one cares as much as I hope they will, but I do it nonetheless. Perhaps to chase adventure in a more general fashion, I recently moved to Santa Barbara, CA from Hermosa Beach, CA, and it has reignited a certain romanticism that I feel has been missing for some time. A new place, new people, new activities, and what seems entirely like a fresh life free of all the stagnation that comes along with sitting in the same spot for far too long. As a 27 year old in a brand new place that I call home, I’m ready to take on what comes my way,

I’ve had a variety of hobbies throughout my life, skateboarding and music being the primary ones, but none of the drew me to them life photography did. I actually had some people laugh at me when I said that I wanted to do this for a living! I recall someone saying “Sure, we’d all love to take photos for people to pay our bills, but that’s not going to happen.” Funny enough, they were absolutely right. We would all love to do it! They happened to be wrong about the bills part, it is my living now. And I love everything about it. There is an incredible collection of qualities that make photography the perfect occupation for me. I am strongly drawn towards every aspect: The act of taking photos, the equipment, the editing, the delivery, the social experience, the beckoning to places you’ve never been, the appreciation of the subjects, and I could go on.

As time goes on and my photography business becomes more solidified and consistent, there is only excitement for the future. I feel more driven than ever to grow my skills and business, and to push to places that I haven’t been before, literally and figuratively. I’ll keep this blog post brief, as there are many to come in the future. I’ll go more in depth as to some photography related concepts both business and creative, as well as some of the emotional components of motivation and development as a person. Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a lovely day!
